DISPOTECH at MEDICA 2022

Once more this year, Dispotech had the opportunity to participate in one of the most important trade fairs in the technology and medical products industry: we are talking about MEDICA 2022.

This year’s edition was held in Düsseldorf (Germany) from 14 to 17 November and was an opportunity to meet new customers, make new contacts, and see first-hand the medical industry’s future innovations.

Here is a report of our experience at MEDICA, supported by the final press release published at medica-tradefair.com.

One of the regular events that Dispotech never misses is participating at the most important trade fair in the medical industry, MEDICA. This year the event took place once more in Germany, and for several days those of us on the Dispotech team shared exhibition space with the more than 5000 exhibitors (from 70 nations), welcoming a total of more than 81,000 visitors  from all over the world.
It was a magnificent and stimulating experience which, as with every year, rewards us with contacts, new outlooks and the determination to improve. But what were the most important topics dealt with at this fair?

Cooperation and communication are the driving force of the medical industry.
In a market as dynamic and subject to the influence of technology as the medical market, cooperation between the parties and communication - both in the form of marketing and in the areas of production, sales and after-sales - is essential. This attitude of openness and dialogue is fundamental in order to be able to offer the best care to patients. Cooperation and communication are values of which MEDICA also keenly feels the importance: its participants create connections, find new business partners and come together in unique projects.
The MEDICA forum offers the perfect space to discuss what will be the near future of medical technology. Partnerships can truly be created for international collaborations that can change the market - and, as a consequence, people's lives.

Covid remains an issue of crucial importance.
While the darkest hour of the Coronavirus pandemic has passed, the virus still remains an important topic of conversation - not only for the scientific community, but also for those involved in health technology. What emerged from conversations with experts during MEDICA is the certainty that the digitisation of healthcare has become a top priority on a worldwide level. Other challenges were the subject of discussion, such as the identification of new variants and the need to improve diagnostics and therapy techniques (watchword: develop vaccines).
MEDICA was also an opportunity for medical technology start-ups to introduce themselves and show visitors and exhibitors what is possible when the right ideas meet up with innovation.

In conclusion, as with every year, MEDICA is an event in which Dispotech participates with enthusiasm and interest. There is already a 2023 event and we will certainly not miss it.
